Why this project was needed
In Ukraine, the education system had long lacked sufficient preparation in contemporary methods for supporting children with special needs—particularly those with neurodevelopmental disorders and challenging behavior. This situation was further exacerbated by the Russian–Ukrainian war. More than 1,500 Ukrainian teachers and thousands of families of children with special needs sought refuge in the V4 countries, increasing the demand for professionals able to provide effective support. North Macedonia faced similar challenges, with limited training opportunities and a shortage of educational materials, especially in the Albanian language, for professionals working toward inclusive education.
